The Gospel of Thomas - 'Let's move the mountain'

I would advice you to read the part ‘New 2006’ first!

Addition 11/05/2006: This Gospel of Thomas was very important on my road. It showed that my Perception came not from my own head but from some other Source. Thomas showed me, that the GOAL of religions is definitely to become a CHILDLIKE person and to Find Oneself, to Know Oneself. He showed what it the character of a CHILDLIKE person and what he is supposed to do when he has reached the GOAL, the GOAL of LIFE and at the same time the GOAL of religion. He also tells without any doubt that to reach the GOAL you have to Know Absolutely Yourself. This was missing in the Texts of Matthew, Mark and Luke or to put it right, it was there hidden. Adding to that Thomas shows some very interesting thought about the Wholeness and the Light or the Power.

So you need not wonder, why the Gospel of Thomas was excommunicated two times in the history and is still consider to be heretic. What do you think if Thomas says, that to reach the GOAL, the women and the man has to feel what it is like to be mentally the opposite sex. And when He says that the God in Everywhere and in All the things there are, not only among the right people and their right places? It destroys the group thinking and the thought, that you reach the GOAL, what ever it wrongly in the religions is, within the group. At the same time all the sacraments will become useless and inventions of the human thought.

I have checked the texts and my interpretations 11/05/2006. In the Finnish side of my works there are still the old interpretations. I leave them there so people can see how much those interpretations have changed during years. Unfortunately they are only in Finnish.

Additional notice: It is probable that you cannot agree with my interpretations. Don’t panic. Read the first chapter of the Gospel of Thomas and you see, that only those, who are in the FINAL GOAL, can Perceive the texts. The same is with the Works of the Bible. So this Perception thing is a good indicator of you reaching the GOAL.

Notice: I use three kind of font expressions. Bold means, that I consider the text highly important. Normal and the same size, that I consider the text useful. Normal and the size is a smaller, that I consider the text not at all important.

The English texts and my interpretations:

1. And he said, "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death."

My interpretation: This chapter is the first on. Does it meant, that it is the most important one? I think so! That you don’t ‘taste death’ means to me to GOAL. The person is in the FINAL GOAL of the Life and the religion. (For me the meaning of my order of the words is, that Life is bigger than the religion.) As you will see, to me the GOAL means, that the person Knows Absolutely Oneself. This person and only this person Perceive the Words as they are to Perceive. What does it mean? Others, the thinking person only think some suitable interpretation for the group they are representing. Thomas gave me hope. I an ordinary fellow can interpret the Gospel of Thomas and the New Testament.
You will see the importance of this first chapter, when I go on. It means, that if you are not already in the GOAL, you don’t Perceive the latter parts and if I am in the GOAL, you don’t Perceive my interpretations. You can use these things to judge your position. If you are in the GOAL, you feel like you would meet an old friend with those chapter. You know already those things.

2. Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. [And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

My interpretation: The hardest thing is to find the GOAL. You have to suffer. If it doesn’t discourage you and you keep on trying and searching, you finally find the thing, while suffering all the time while searching and also after it. The disturbance in that what you find, means that, what you found was not, what you thought to find. The solution you found was very simple. but it was immense and it changed all your life. Nothing was the same anymore. You found the LIFE in life. You cannot describe the feeling. You feel without understanding it, that you know it ALL. That means, that you know the behavior of the human being - first yours and then you see that all the people behave relatively the same way. So you know ALL the behavior, meaning you know it ALL, because ALL is either according to the human behavior or then it is what the human behavior is not. So you know it ALL, because you know the side of what is and the side of what isn’t. That you know by Perceiving the behavior of the human being. One of the way to understand the knowing it ALL is, that when you meet a new thing, you Perceive it instantly as it would have been in your mind all the time.

3. Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) kingdom is within you and it is outside you.

My interpretation: Where is the Father’s Kingdom or the Kingdom of Heaven or to me the GOAL? I say it again, that it is the Final Destination of LIFE. We all are seeking it with all our deeds and thoughts - money, art, science, values or when we are only enjoying our lives, or when we are in the gutter, or when we have given it up. When the person is not reaching the goal that gives the feeling of Final Satisfaction, the person thinks rationally, that the Goal has to be in the life after the death. So the Heaven has to be in the sky, in the unknown dimension and after the death. Thomas says now, that this thought is totally wrong. Where the Heaven is according to Thomas? Can you get it - within you and outside you? Let’s imaging and let’s play a game, that this is the Absolute Truth. Where then is the GOAL? You are thinking straight, you say, that the GOAL is everywhere. So my question will then be, how do you reach it? How do you do it? If he Kingdom is inside and outside of you and you reach it, you have solved the question of the last 2000 years. You have solved the Game of Life. I think that I have better give you the correct answer. The GOAL is present all the time and it is everywhere. Simple isn’t it? There is still only one way to find it and to find, that it is present all the time and it is everywhere. The place is NOW. I think that you would like to say, that it is time. Now is to you time. But as we go farther you will see, that NOW is not at all time. If you have not read my new texts, you don’t know the following, so I think it is proper to tell you the story. Let’s define the NOW. I hope, that you can agree with my definition. Now is between the past and the future. The second thing is, that Now cannot include the smallest fragment either from the past nor from the future. Do you approve that interpretation? I think so! Now comes the main question. What is the NOW? There are two possibilities to describe the situation. (1.) One is, if you are talented enough in geometry, I can ask you this question and you know the answer: There are two circles and they are just touching each other, measure the touching point - what is the value? And you say, that the result is running away and it is Infinite = ∞. To me the word Infinite is an other way to say, that it is beyond the thought of the human being or that it is Absolute. (2.) Other way to tell the same story is to ask this questions. How long a time is the Now, that is been defined a little bit earlier? Is the now one second long? In one second there are some parts from the past and also from the future. Rip them of! You get one tenth of a second. Is that it, the Now? There are in ten of the tenth seconds and there are certainly some parts of the past and some parts of the future. Take them away! You get one hundredth of a second. Is that it, the Now? No! You can go on and on and on and at last you have to think, that the Now is running away from you and you find out, that is Infinite, Absolute. So you cannot measure the NOW. It is not at all time as we thing the time should be. Where do you live, if we think about the time? Is it the NOW? Is it the only place you can live? And now I say, that it is not time at all. Thomas says, that the Kingdom is not in heaven, but inside and outside of you. Then it has to be all the time. And the only ‘time’ that has been in the past (the past Now's), that will be in the future (the future Now's), that was in the beginning and will be in the end, is the NOW. So people get into the Kingdom or into the Heaven during their life. If it is hard to understand, take the first chapter. You Perceive the words, when you are also in the Goal, then you also find the LIFE in life.

When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

My interpretation: The game of hide and seek goes on. Now the main question is, what is ‘will be known’ and what is ‘you live in poverty’? You understand all the words! To me their meaning is the simple to Perceive. ‘You will be known’ means, that you are in the GOAL. And ‘you life in poverty’ means, that you have not find the GOAL. Then is the question, when this or that happens? ‘You will be known’ happens, if you KNOW YOURSELF. So if you think, that you will be reaching the GOAL by KNOWING YOURSELF and it is the main way to reach it, then you should think, that this should have been said also in the Main Book, in the Bible, in the New Testament. It is been said there, but it have never been found until in my interpretations about the Command of Love. So the KEY TEACHING of our religions (christian, jew, islam - in all of those is the same latter part of the Command - meaning the MAIN PART of the Command - “love thy neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.) The word love is translated originally from Greek and the original word is AGABE. That it the way God Love. I make it simple. I say, that it means the Absolute Love. So the right way to say the latter part should be ‘Love Absolutely thy neighbor as you Love Absolutely Yourself’. Which of these Loves come first? Of course the Love Absolutely Yourself, because after that you know how to Love thy neighbor. Can you Love Absolutely Yourself, if you don’t know who you are? Of course not! So you have to know yourself first. How much do you have to know about yourself? Is it enough to know a little bit and still Love Absolutely? May be so! But I think, that you have to also Know Absolutely Yourself before Loving Absolutely Yourself. So the right way to say that latter part of the Command should be like this: When you Know Absolutely Yourself, you Love automatically Absolutely Yourself, and then you Love Absolutely automatically thy neighbor, and because you also Love Absolutely automatically All that is surround you, you Love Absolutely automatically the God, the Wholeness. So Know Yourself is the main teaching of the Bible and the New Testament.

4. Jesus said, "The person old in days won't hesitate to ask a little child seven days old about the place of life, and that person will live.
For many of the first will be last, and will become a single one."

My interpretation: It is totally insane to think, that a child of seven days old could answer to that kind of a question. The question is the main question in the human life, if I think, that ‘the place of life’ is the same than the question about the GOAL of the life.. So what is the interpretation? I would like to see, that the brightest of the brightest in the religions or in the sciences could answer to that question. There are two things to consider the first is the baby and the second is ‘the person old in days’. Is the Kingdom for the children, meaning that a certain kind of a child is the model of the GOAL? (Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 18:17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter there. I have never before notices the 15th. It says: Luke 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.) Jesus used the child as an exhibition article. I never looked before the 15th chapter. It tells the story right. The main thing with the child, that it has to be very young. A child of certain other age wouldn’t do. At what age do you think, that the me of the person is born? It is born, when a person is about a one year old. So when there is an infant or a seven days old baby in question, the one doesn’t have no me. And the child is in right age. If the baby could answer, the answer would be right. The answer would come from a person without the me. There are also other words to describe the me, self, ego and so on, but I like the word me. The second story: The person who is ‘old in days’ asks the silly question, because he asks it from an infant child. What is the explanation? It is, that the person is in the GOAL and he knows, that if the infant could answer, the answer would be correct. The old person also knows the answer. He is mentally in the same position than the infant. Also he is without me. Then there is the question about the firsts and the lasts. Who is the first in normal life according the sociology? They are the head men in the clergy, in the university, in the government. So they are the first in our value world, but they will come the last, when we think about reaching the GOAL. That is because they are the most connected to the wold of values, that is opposite with achieving the Final Goal. The last in the normal world are those, who have no value, who are Worthless. They are those childlike, non sense or folly persons, who Know Absolutely Themselves.

5. Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.

For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]"

My interpretation: This show how the NOW is hidden and always in front of your face. When you are living in NOW, you know it ALL. That is to be in the GOAL.

6. His disciples asked him and said to him, "Do you want us to fast? How should we pray? Should we give to charity? What diet should we observe?"

Jesus said, "Don't lie, and don't do what you hate, because all things are disclosed before heaven. After all, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will remain undisclosed."

My interpretation: Wait a moment and Thomas gives you an answer, that will put you socks to roll. Also this chapter show you, what happens with the Knowing it ALL. Nothing is hidden.

7. Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

8. And he said, "The person is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of little fish. Among them the wise fisherman discovered a fine large fish. He threw all the little fish back into the sea, and easily chose the large fish. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!"

9. Jesus said, "Look, the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered (them). Some fell on the road, and the birds came and gathered them. Others fell on rock, and they didn't take root in the soil and didn't produce heads of grain. Others fell on thorns, and they choked the seeds and worms ate them. And others fell on good soil, and it produced a good crop: it yielded sixty per measure and one hundred twenty per measure."

10. Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I'm guarding it until it blazes."

My interpretation: Hopefully Jesus has some time to spend. It has taken only 2000 years and nothing has happened.

11. Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away.

The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

12. The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that you are going to leave us. Who will be our leader?"

Jesus said to them, "No matter where you are you are to go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being."

13. Jesus said to his disciples, "Compare me to something and tell me what I am like."
Simon Peter said to him, "You are like a just messenger."
Matthew said to him, "You are like a wise philosopher."
Thomas said to him, "Teacher, my mouth is utterly unable to say what you are like."
Jesus said, "I am not your teacher. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring that I have tended."
And he took him, and withdrew, and spoke three sayings to him. When Thomas came back to his friends they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?"
Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the sayings he spoke to me, you will pick up rocks and stone me, and fire will come from the rocks and devour you."

My interpretation: This shows the position of Thomas within the group. Also that has some meaning, what Thomas says. It shows that he is in the GOAL. The other disciples didn’t believe the Right Way that Jesus had the Right to talk like he did. They were drank, meaning that they didn’t Perceive. They would be hurt even if Thomas had told them what Jesus told Thomas.

14. Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray, you will be condemned, and if you give to charity, you will harm your spirits.
When you go into any region and walk about in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them.
After all, what goes into your mouth will not defile you; rather, it's what comes out of your mouth that will defile you."

My interpretation: So, here is what I promised a few chapters ago. What do you do to be good and to deserve the place in heaven? You fast. You pray. And when you want to love thy neighbor, you love him or her from the distance by giving to the charity. Now it is said, that they are bad deeds - bring sin upon yourselves, will be condemned and will harm your spirit. How come? It is simple. They are all marked by the me. They are me deeds and they are so selfish deeds. Their value is the same than with the bad deeds. So I think that the good deeds don’t lead to good results and the bad deeds don’t lead to bad results. To me they are not bad, but they are useless if we think about the GOAL. They are deeds in the operation system of the thought. The thinking person cannot do other way. Perhaps the bad deeds only make it harder dive to the surface though the shit, that has been grown on the surface between you and the GOAL. What you say will define you and it means that you thinking process is to be blamed. There in you me is the bad. Thinking will process it. And the only thing other people see is how you behave and what you talk. So the behavior is also the main thing for you to observe, because many times, you are not seeing those things that are inside you. You can always observe your behaviors, meaning your reactions.

15. Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman, fall on your faces and worship. That one is your Father."

My interpretation: All the people are born from the womb. This is the surrounding that makes all the people behave the same way. When we are in the womb, in the beginning there is nothing in the memory. But then at the sixth month in the womb, all the senses are working and we put things into our memory. Think that these memories influence our life when we are born. We don’t remember all the things, that are influencing our behavior. What can an unborn child, put into the memory. If he feels good, it cannot be in the first time a relative feeling, because there is nothing he can compare. So if there is a good feeling, what kind of a good feeling can it be? I think, that the first memory is from the Absolute Goodness, from the Harmony, from the feeling that comes when he is lying on the hand of the Divine. What is needed so that the person gets the program of the human being, that we all get in the womb? We need only some disturbance from mother or from the surrounding of the mother and the program is ready. You don’t have to believe this, see your own behavior. You have reached many times to a better goals. Do you stay down and enjoy from your achievement or do you have always to set new goals, because the satisfaction didn’t last long. Is you road of life filled with this kind of movement? Are also all the other people behaving the same way? So, what is the only think that can explain why nothing relative better is never enough? Can you think that some relative better will sometimes be enough? Hahaaaaa!!! What a person does, when he get something better? How he knows, that he has got something better? He compares the new with the old ones. So, what has to be in the other scale, if nothing relative been put on the other scale never will be enough? The people have to put there unconsciously the Absolute Good. It has to be so. There is no other explanation. We have no hope, but we have possibility - possibility to change the operation system.

16. Jesus said, "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war.
For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone."

My interpretation: This is a perfect picture about the conflict that is in the human mind about the goal of the thinkers and the real GOAL. Peace and ‘harmony’ are far out from the picture. The people, that are in the GOAL are mentally opposite with the people who are in the operation system of the thought. They are what the thinkers are not. Take away the behavior of the thinkers and you get what the GOAL people are. The difference is so big.

17. Jesus said, "I will give you what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, what no hand has touched, what has not arisen in the human heart."

My interpretation: This is an other way to say the same thing than above. The thinking person has never met the NEW THING.

18. The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?"
Jesus said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is.
Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death."

My interpretation: Here it is, the beginning and the end meets. How is it possible? They should be opposite each other and so farthest away. It is not certain, from the chapters, that they are together, but so it is. You find them together in the place NOW. NOW consist all the nows you have lived and all the nows somebody has lived starting from the Beginning. And it consists all the now you will meet in the future and also those nows, that the other people will live until the End. So there is only NOW and it is the Beginning and the End. And the result is, when you find it, that you don’t taste the death, meaning that you are in the GOAL. As I have been telling, the difference between knowing this logically as a thought is not enough, it has to come to your ‘flesh’, to you LIFE. It has to be in your CORE.

19. Jesus said, "Congratulations to the one who came into being before coming into being.
If you become my disciples and pay attention to my sayings, these stones will serve you.
For there are five trees in Paradise for you; they do not change, summer or winter, and their leaves do not fall. Whoever knows them will not taste death."

20. The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us what Heaven's kingdom is like."
He said to them, "It's like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, but when it falls on prepared soil, it produces a large plant and becomes a shelter for birds of the sky."

21. Mary said to Jesus, "What are your disciples like?"
He said, "They are like little children living in a field that is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will say, 'Give us back our field.' They take off their clothes in front of them in order to give it back to them, and they return their field to them.
For this reason I say, if the owners of a house know that a thief is coming, they will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not let the thief break into their house (their domain) and steal their possessions.
As for you, then, be on guard against the world. Prepare yourselves with great strength, so the robbers can't find a way to get to you, for the trouble you expect will come.
Let there be among you a person who understands.
When the crop ripened, he came quickly carrying a sickle and harvested it. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!"

22. Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) kingdom."
They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) kingdom as babies?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."

My interpretation: There are two important things in this chapter. The first is the old story about the childlike person. What age the baby has to be, so that you can say, that the baby is still in the Kingdom. This means, that all the people are born so, that they are in the Kingdom, and then something happens, that brings them away from the Kingdom. The only thing for me could be the ME of the person. And as I have told you, it is born in the age of one year. Now there is the interesting thing, that separates Thomas from the stories in the Bible. This thing shows that Jesus is using the baby in both cases as a demo piece. The disciples ask the logical question: “Do we reach the GOAL as a child?” The answer of Jesus is again a little bit dim. Two has to become on - man and women, me and you, inner and outer, upper and lower. This means simply, that the opposites has to disappear. That can happen only by Knowing Yourself. I think that I have to bring to you the description of the Real Creative person made by Abraham Maslow, so that you can see for yourself the meaning of dichotomy and how it has disappeared from certain people. I also show you the personality of the Wonder Patient and the personality of the True Survivor. I don’t have to write them here, because you can go to an other page in my home page and read them there. Go to New 2006 -What - and there - Nosce te Ipsum! - For me! There is the whole story about the dichotomy and what kind of personality the person has when the Wholeness is the main thing in life.

23. Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one from a thousand and two from ten thousand, and they will stand as a single one."

My interpretation: This will show you how few people are in the GOAL. And what happens, when those few people are found? They are one even is there were many of them. Do you want a more wonderful picture? Imagine all the people who have reached the GOAL in the past and were living in NOW. And imagine all the people, who are not still born and find the same GOAL and live in NOW. They are also in the group of the single one and they are there NOW. So when a person Know Oneself, the Me of the person is death the me disappears. He will be one and at the same time all. This is the condition for the Absolute Love.

24. His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek it."
He said to them, "Anyone here with two ears had better listen! There is light within a person of light, and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark."

My interpretation: Now come the word LIGHT for the first time. So when you are in the GOAL, you have the LIGHT. If there is no LIGHT there is the darkness. And again it is not as bad it sounds. It is the normal situation of 99,99% of people. This is very near the word Enlightenment. So again the religions come together. In Finland the clergy men think that Buddhism is a pagan sect and still they are talking about the Enlightenment and Know Yourself in the Buddhism. The LIGHT comes for you to see many times in the Gospel of Thomas. So it seems that again the command, Know Yourself is the KEY.

25. Jesus said, "Love your friends like your own soul, protect them like the pupil of your eye."

My interpretation: It shows how you LOVE. It would be still better, if insted of the friend there has been the enemy in the chapter.

26. Jesus said, "You see the sliver in your friend's eye, but you don't see the timber in your own eye. When you take the timber out of your own eye, then you will see well enough to remove the sliver from your friend's eye."

My interpretation: This tells you, how it is done. You come as the first also in this place and the same way than in LOVE. First you See yourself and then you have opportunity to see others. Usually the thinking person doesn’t see no bad things in oneself. Instead the person sees all the bad things in others. He also blames others for every thing bad that happens to him. It is interesting so notice, that there may be something the person in the Final GOAL, can do to others. I don’t really believe that. You cannot remove the sliver from your friend’s eye. There was this Japanese writer, he was the last on, who committed the hara-kiri. He said in one of his book, that the ‘best thing you can do to your friend is to trust you finger inside his stomach’. To me it means, that if you painting your house, you have a use for a helper. The same thing is with the Knowing Oneself. You can use a friend, that trust his fingers into your ‘guts’, meaning into your bad behavior. When you See the bad things in yourself, you eventually See the same things in other persons. And now it means, that you are one, even if the others doesn’t understand it. Then you star to SEE it ALL.

27. "If you do not fast from the world, you will not find the (Father's) kingdom. If you do not observe the sabbath as a sabbath you will not see the Father."

My interpretation: ‘To fast from the wold’ means, that there are no values in your life. You are not chasing after more and better - you are not running after or running away. You are living in the NOW. This doesn’t mean that you don’t use those things that used to bring you pleasure. You still use them, but they are not you ME anymore. You only use them.

28. Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty.
But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways."

My interpretation: This is very interesting story. They were all drunk, but they were not thirsty. To me it means, that everybody is searching but nobody wants to use the guide Jesus would give. They are looking for the happiness, but they don’t want the Total Happiness. The reason is, that the people 99.99 % are ‘blind in their hearts’, meaning they are blind because of their operation system. They come empty and they depart empty. This means, that the whole trip was wasted. What happens then? Are there always new souls or units or do they go into recycling. And to find the GOAL they have to change their ways, meaning their operation system. A Finnish author, Mika Waltari was very sorry, because he never could reach the repentance the Bible says you have to do to reach the GOAL (in Finnish the repentance means to better you deeds and you behavior), that you have to do to be good and reach the goal. He said, that he was very pleased, when he found out, that the Greek word, that is in the origin, says ‘think with the new way’. And now we could say that also the right way to say is ‘to change your ways’.

29. Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels.
Yet I marvel at how this great wealth has come to dwell in this poverty."

30. Jesus said, "Where there are three deities, they are divine. Where there are two or one, I am with that one."

My interpretation: I like better this version: 30) Jesus said, "Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him." Translations by: Thomas O. Lambdin (Coptic version) B.P Grenfell & A.S. Hunt (Greek Fragments)Bentley Layton (Greek Fragments)Commentary by: Craig Schenk. To me it means, that where there are tree persons, there are tree gods. And when there are one or two persons, there the God is with them. So, what about the groups, the congregation, the church? In a way it goes together with my thoughts about the transaction with persons. If there are more than two people, the conversation is a play, two go together against one, three against two, and so on.

31. Jesus said, "No prophet is welcome on his home turf; doctors don't cure those who know them."

32. Jesus said, "A city built on a high hill and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden."

33. Jesus said, "What you will hear in your ear, in the other ear proclaim from your rooftops.
After all, no one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, nor does one put it in a hidden place. Rather, one puts it on a lampstand so that all who come and go will see its light."

My interpretation: Now is been put together the LIGHT and what you do with it. I once thought, that the ‘command’ don’t put the lamp or the candle under the basket is the most unnecessary. Everybody is following it. So, why the ‘command’ or the guideline? Also everybody understand the ‘command’. As you have seen it is very unusual. What I make of the ‘command’? It is totally misunderstood of course. You know now, what the LIGHT means to me. It is the Final Sign, that the person has reached the GOAL. In a way it means to me even, that the person has gone long way from the Knowing Oneself. Later you see why I think so. So the ‘command’ is for that kind of a persons. Why he is warned? He is warned, because he sees things differently and is even himself considering himself to be mad or at least folly or a no sense person. So he prefers to stay in the closet rather than to be in open with his talks. The reason for the ‘command’ is to show, what the person who has reached the GOAL has to do. He has to be openly fool and throw the ‘pearls’ to the ‘pigs’. As you see there is a contradictory roll. First he should do the lamp thing and he also should not throw pearls to the pigs. The only thing certain is, that the person believe to be ‘the only seeing person amongst the blind ones’.

34. Jesus said, "If a blind person leads a blind person, both of them will fall into a hole."

My interpretation: This the usual thing amongst the religions. If my Perceptions and the talk of Thomas is right, there are very few persons who are in the GOAL even in the religions. So there the blind is leading the blind. They don’t fall into the hole, they are there all the time. Or it would be better to say, that they are in the operation system of the though.

35. Jesus said, "One can't enter a strong person's house and take it by force without tying his hands. Then one can loot his house."

36. Jesus said, "Do not fret, from morning to evening and from evening to morning, [about your food--what you're going to eat, or about your clothing--] what you are going to wear. [You're much better than the lilies, which neither card nor spin.
As for you, when you have no garment, what will you put on? Who might add to your stature? That very one will give you your garment.]"

37. His disciples said, "When will you appear to us, and when will we see you?"
Jesus said, "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample then, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not be afraid."

My interpretation: This definitely is not a guideline, so don’t try it in your church! This is not a guideline even for the person who is in the GOAL. But it show, what he would be capable to do it he should like it. This is a second picture of the CHILDLIKE person, who doesn’t live in the world of good and bad. Take a small child and imaging the one to do it, and you understand my meaning. Or take Adam and Eve before they fell into the operation system of the thought. Now the story is the same, but the actor is an adult person. If you have been reading Matthew, Mark and Luke, you should know, that the key with the disciples was, when they stopped being afraid of the deeds of Jesus and the God. Meaning that they were in the GOAL when they rejoiced. When they rejoiced they also KNEW the WORDS. I think it would be useful for you to read the New Testament again and look for those feelings, because the key for the work the disciples had to do after they were in the GOAL, was to give us the right Perception of the WORDS. Until that time, the being of Jesus had no reason at all. Other thing you should look from the New Testament is who a True Believer BELIEVES. And also there you see a person, who is a CHILDLIKE person. This means that the personality of the BELIEVER is the key. You should be surprised!

38. Jesus said, "Often you have desired to hear these sayings that I am speaking to you, and you have no one else from whom to hear them. There will be days when you will seek me and you will not find me."

39. Jesus said, "The Pharisees and the scholars have taken the keys of knowledge and have hidden them. They have not entered nor have they allowed those who want to enter to do so.
As for you, be as sly as snakes and as simple as doves."

My interpretation: This could be one point, why this Gospel of Thomas was banned and also why it still is looked as a dirt amongst the religions. This tells, that they know at least something, enough to be afraid and to forbid this Words. ‘They have not entered’ means, that they are not in the GOAL. And they don’t even others to enter the GOAL. That is the story for the seekers. Quite grim a story! As you have seen from my Perceptions and from my interpretations, everything is there easily to see, if you get the Right guidance. The last part tells you, who you should behave. I was looking really what is the GOAL of our Finnish main religion, and I didn’t find it. There was some talk about the mercy and what I get after my death. I wanted to find the GOAL during my life and so I did.

40. Jesus said, "A grapevine has been planted apart from the Father. Since it is not strong, it will be pulled up by its root and will perish."

41. Jesus said, "Whoever has something in hand will be given more, and whoever has nothing will be deprived of even the little they have."

42. Jesus said, "Be passersby."

43. His disciples said to him, "Who are you to say these things to us?"
"You don't understand who I am from what I say to you.
Rather, you have become like the Judeans, for they love the tree but hate its fruit, or they love the fruit but hate the tree."

44. Jesus said, "Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven, either on earth or in heaven."

My interpretation: This was one of those hardest things to Perceive. What it the Holy Ghost? Can you define the Holy Ghost? You don’t really know nothing about the God. Also Jesus is a little bit dim. You can feel something about Jesus, because He was a human kind of being. But what about the Holy Ghost? In our religion Jesus is main man, because people can use their thinking process to understand His being. Your religions as also my religion is keen to judge people. They are saying, that this and that person blasphemes God. The only thing there is, is that the person is judging the people amongst the religion and they are offended. So the accusations comes from their offended feelings. You don’t offend the company. You offend the people of the company. To me the main thing is in this chapter, that the ordinary, thinking person can blaspheme the God and Jesus. This is forgiven. They are not judged. I think, that the ordinary, thinking person cannot reach the Holy Ghost. So he cannot blaspheme the Holy Ghost even accidentally. The Holy Ghost is to me something, that comes together with the LIGHT or with the POWER, you get when you have reached the GOAL. I Perceived it by the behavior of my friend who has some of the Power or something like the Power. There was a family quarrel. A man was hitting a woman and he used the Power to the benefit of the woman. This was for me an example of the misuse of the Power. The discovery for me was, that when you have the LIGHT or the POWER, you can misuse it if you have not enough energy to keep the operation system of the thought in discipline. You know, that you have the LIGHT or the POWER. You are then responsible of the use of the POWER. If you use it the wrong way, you can get the punishment. How did the disciples got the LIGHT or the POWER? They got it according Luke this way and on the last possible moment of the Gospel of Luke: Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. I could think, the the POWER is the last thing that happens to a person on his road. To me it means, that you get over you the POWER from the HOLY GHOST. Then you also have the possibility to blaspheme the Holy Ghost, meaning misuse the Power and that is not forgiven either on earth or in heaven. That means, that you possibility in the Game of Life is gone.

45. Jesus said, "Grapes are not harvested from thorn trees, nor are figs gathered from thistles, for they yield no fruit.
Good persons produce good from what they've stored up; bad persons produce evil from the wickedness they've stored up in their hearts, and say evil things. For from the overflow of the heart they produce evil."

My interpretation: When the people fell into the operation system of the thought, meaning that they new the god and the bad, meaning into the dichotomy kind of thinking, they cannot do but what they are doing all the time. It is not a bad thing, it is only useless, you don’t get to the GOAL by doing so. Even if you do the relative good things. The people do them from their hearts, meaning from their operation system.

46. Jesus said, "From Adam to John the Baptist, among those born of women, no one is so much greater than John the Baptist that his eyes should not be averted.
But I have said that whoever among you becomes a child will recognize the (Father's) kingdom and will become greater than John."

My interpretation: In a way this tells us the greatness of the deed, when we reach the GOAL.

47. Jesus said, "A person cannot mount two horses or bend two bows.
And a slave cannot serve two masters, otherwise that slave will honor the one and offend the other.
Nobody drinks aged wine and immediately wants to drink young wine. Young wine is not poured into old wineskins, or they might break, and aged wine is not poured into a new wineskin, or it might spoil.
An old patch is not sewn onto a new garment, since it would create a tear."

My interpretation: This command was useless at the time, when it was said, because nobody in the wine business or at home did that meaning did put the young wine into the old wineskin. Let’s take it into a new perspective. The command of repentance is again the guide of the thinking man. He does better things than in the past and goes on doing so. This is the same, than to put new wine in to the old wineskin, meaning to put new things in to the old warehouse. The real warehouse doesn’t spoil the things that are put there, but imaging a different ‘warehouse’, the memory or the thinking process. When you put the new, better things into your thinking process, they are always spoiled. The me of the person is the poison. So the only thing to reach the GOAL is to get rid of the old. To let it be killed. To Know Absolutely Oneself is the killing process.

48. Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in a single house, they will say to the mountain, 'Move from here!' and it will move."

My interpretation: If two becomes one, meaning if two persons, who Know Themselves and are not anymore me and you but one and they come together, they can connect their POWER and do big things. So were you are!

49. Jesus said, "Congratulations to those who are alone and chosen, for you will find the kingdom. For you have come from it, and you will return there again."

My interpretation: If you Know Absolutely Yourself, you are alone and you find the GOAL. The GOAL is not to Know Yourself. It is farther and I don’t know it, because of my lifestyle. I don’t exactly know if I want to find it.

50. Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where have you come from?' say to them, 'We have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself, established [itself], and appeared in their image.'
If they say to you, 'Is it you?' say, 'We are its children, and we are the chosen of the living Father.'
If they ask you, 'What is the evidence of your Father in you?' say to them, 'It is motion and rest.”

My interpretation: This is again the LIGHT business. There is the place of the LIGHT, where the LIGHT has come into being. We come from the LIGHT and we have a possibility to have IT shown from us. The second thing in this chapter is also the disappearing of the dichotomy. The motion and the rest are on the same line. And now they are together. And that is the evidence of the God or it is on way to describe the God. To put together two opposite things to the personality of a person is to describe the Real Creativity and the person, who has reached it and is the Really Creative Person and a CHILDLIKE person.

51. His disciples said to him, "When will the rest for the dead take place, and when will the new world come?"
He said to them, "What you are looking forward to has come, but you don't know it."

My interpretation: This is the problem of the thinking person. He is looking the goal from the future, but it is not there. And the thinking person never find the GOAL. He can find it, when he abandon the operation system of the thought. Then you feel the GOAL.

52. His disciples said to him, "Twenty-four prophets have spoken in Israel, and they all spoke of you."
He said to them, "You have disregarded the living one who is in your presence, and have spoken of the dead."

53. His disciples said to him, "Is circumcision useful or not?"
He said to them, "If it were useful, their father would produce children already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect."

54. Jesus said, "Congratulations to the poor, for to you belongs Heaven's kingdom."

My interpretation: The poor is not the model or the model of the behavior. It is an imaginary expression. You become poor, when you become WORTHLESS, a person with no values. And that person is in the GOAL. I once thought that, why cannot I ‘sell’ anything. I hoped at that time, that I would know only relatively more than other people, then I would have something to sell. Now I feel, that I know it ALL and nobody is buying a thing.

55. Jesus said, "Whoever does not hate father and mother cannot be my disciple, and whoever does not hate brothers and sisters, and carry the cross as I do, will not be worthy of me."

My interpretation: This showed what happens, when you Know Yourself. You are alone and you Perceptions are not liked. So the hate is not the main thing, but the difference between the people. When you are in the GOAL, one sign is that you don’t have no bad feelings anymore.

56. Jesus said, "Whoever has come to know the world has discovered a carcass, and whoever has discovered a carcass, of that person the world is not worthy."

My interpretation: When you Know Yourself, you Know it ALL, meaning the world. You see all the people as they are and it is not a pretty picture. That way you loose all the worth the world or the thinking process can give. You don’t get rid of them. They only have no use for use. You use them, but they don’t use you. You have no me anymore to use them. How to make it a little bit more clear? This is closest I can get it: “You are driving your new, shining Mercedes Benz and then it happens - CLICK - you Know Absolutely Yourself! You are still driving your new, shining MB, but everything has changed. Before the CLICK, you were stroking you me (the mental strokes) with all the things that were to be seen. I drive good, I am good - I have a good car, I am good - I can use all the buttons and things inside the car, I am good - other people are looking and admiring the car, I am good, I made a good deal, I bargained good, I am good, and so on, and on, and on. You are better but after a wail not satisfied any more - this is an other story. Then CLICK and there is no me anymore. So you me doesn’t need any strokes anymore. After you have reached the GOAL, you can do the same things you did before, but you ‘heard’ has changed. That is to SEE and to be AWAKENED.

57 Jesus said, "The Father's kingdom is like a person who has [good] seed. His enemy came during the night and sowed weeds among the good seed. The person did not let the workers pull up the weeds, but said to them, 'No, otherwise you might go to pull up the weeds and pull up the wheat along with them.' For on the day of the harvest the weeds will be conspicuous, and will be pulled up and burned."

58. Jesus said, "Congratulations to the person who has toiled and has found life."

My interpretation: You get you there - to the Knowing Yourself - is hard work. You deserve what you have found. And that is you found the LIFE in life, the GOAL. As you can see the GOAL is not in religion it is in life. The religion is in this way under the LIFE. The religions serve LIFE. The religions are the lifestyle things.

The Second Part of the Gospel of Thomas
