Nosce te Ipsum - Why so important!

The following is from the book ‘Suuri latinakirja’ (the big book about the Latin), Kivimäki Arto: “It is been told, that in ancient so called ‘seven Greek wise men’ were gathered to think, what is the most important instruction for the life to the human beings. And the result was that the best and most useful command is “Know Thyself”. It was then written to the wall of the temple of Apollo in Delphi. Voltaire has said, that the command suits only for the God, because it is possible only for the God.” pp. 304

As you read my text, you will see, that "Nosce te Ipsum" - "Know thyself" is the Key to Everything, to it ALL.

My comments about “Know Thyself”

- The right form should be “Know Absolutely Thyself!”
- It is the most difficult and important thing to do in human life.
- It is in the core of every religions, philosophies and with that you perceive the meaning of the life - your life first.
- In Christianity, in Islam, in Jewish religion and of course in the Buddhism the core is “Know Thyself!” or in a hidden way in the command of the love “Love thy neighbor as you love thyself!”
- The word love comes from Greek the word is Agabe. With that word the God Love everything. So the question is about the Absolute Love and Tolerance.
- Let’s brake the command into parts: First comes the love of thyself.
- How could you love thyself without knowing who you are, without knowing thyself?
- Because of the word Agabe, Absolute Love, you have to Know Absolutely Yourself.

- So the right form of the command is: “When you Know Absolutely Yourself you Love Absolutely Yourself and automatically you Love Absolutely Your neighbors, meaning your fellow human beings and then you Love automatically Absolutely everything surrounding you, meaning the Wholeness or the God if you like it.”

- If you tell the story this way, the Life is bigger than the religions or the religions serve the Life.

- To Know Absolutely Yourself is the key of the Life and the key to everything else in the life.
- The question is to reach the Goal of your Life and with that you get All of It.
- So the task is suitable for the God like Voltaire is saying, but you can do it and reach the Goal of the Life. You cannot reach the Goal by the Grace of the God you have first to know allot of yourself to get the Grace.
