The starting words for the Game of LIFE in life

(I created for this place -19. /04.13.1999, 17:53)

Genesis

What is mainly wrong in other people's interpretations:

Genesis 2

9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

TR: Why put the two trees near to each other.

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

TR: To make sure they see the trees LORD God put them to keep the trees.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

TR: What was the function of the tree of life? Look for 3:22. So they could eat from the tree of life, because they had life forever until they eat from the tree of good and evil.

What about the threat - 'thou shal surely die'. Let's think that you are Adam. You don't have the knowledge of good and evil. You don't know nothing about death or evil. The most important thing is that you are not afraid.

What do you thing about this threat: I send you to stone age and ask you to the the stone age man that I don't send any petrol to his skidoo. This is less striking message that what LORD God said to Adam.

And it was even wrong to say that you shall die on the day you eat.

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

TR: This is assurance that you reader understand change from this into the behavior after they had eaten.

Genesis 3

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

TR: So Eve knows. Adam has told the threat correctly. Even the touching is forbidden has Adam said.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

TR: Good and evil: ashamed.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

TR: Good and evil: afraid

9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10
And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
12
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

TR: Good and evil: Guilty is the other person and God.

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

TR: Good and evil: The serpent is guilty.

21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

TR: Is this the behavior of angry man. There was no unger, no thunder and lightnings.

22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

TR: This is the main point. This is the start of the Game of LIFE. Man knows now the good and evil. He has fallen into an other order the order of good and evil thinking. The man has not maid sin, because who could he have sinned when he didn't know good and evil when he did his deed.

The function of the tree of life come clear. It will now give life forever.

To who God said 'Behold'? Did he said it to himself. Oblaa!, what a fool I am, what mistake I maid. No all this was planned. To put the trees near each other. To put the man to take care of them. and first of all to put there the tree of life, which didn't have know use at all. The use is only now to send them away. This was the function of the tree of life.

To us it's function is the hope. We can come near it and live forever.

23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

TR: So the goal of human life is to go to tree of life. The game begins. And the way to get near the tree is in the way they get far from it - the knowledge of good and evil. Do it the other way and you have solved the game of LIFE. Look for the solution from the section of KNOW Thyself. Me or self or human thinking is to home of relative thinking the good an evil.

The purpose of the rest of the Bible is to tell the people, what is the way to solve the game of LIFE. Jesus was send mainly to tell about the solution. If you would have seen the Gospel of Thomas, the solution would have been simple. From the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke you have to dig that you find the solution, but it is there.

To whom the story in the Bible is told? I think for the first it is told and the deed of Jesus are done to disciples. The most important thing in the interpretation of the three Gospels is to understand that Jesus war for the disciples. He talked only to the disciples. He made the wonders only for the disciples. He forbids them to tell who he is to other people.

Jesus had two things to do. The first was to show his authority. God had given him the empower. Jesus was the Son of God. The second thing was the teachings of the game of LIFE. How to solve it.

The method was to teach even when the disciples didn't understand the authority thing. When did they understand it.? What point of time they did understand? After the dead of Jesus, when he showed himself to them. Not until then they believed the authority and the teachings. Not until then the word of Jesus were the word of God and they believed them. So all the deeds until that point were because of the disciples.

Though the disciples come we into the picture. So Jesus died firstly because of the disciples and thought them because of us. Without knowledge of the disciples about the authority of Jesus we wouldn't have nothing.

When you read the bible to see the point where this happens - they understand the authority - there are sign. Look for the happiness or rejoicing. Or look the end of fear. The fear is the sign that they don't believe Jesus.

And the teaching of Jesus, his main words were though my interpretation: "You have to Know Absolutely Yourself to Love automatically yourself and automatically Love thy neighbor and automatically that means that you Love also God or the Wholeness."

This are the commands of love. The original Greek word behind the word love is 'Agabe' meaning the Absolute Love. One men of God kind of whispered the word to me. So to Love Absolutely for yourself you have Know Absolutely Yourself.

That is the way you destroy the knowledge of good and evil and you are in the Goal of LIFE or in the Goal of religion, what is the same. So religion serves for LIFE. The main point of religion is LIFE. And you get into the Goal when you are in life, during living. So you are in heaven or kingdom during life. Because LIFE or to Know Thyself is for everybody then the religion this way is for every person.

When a person Knows Absolutely Himself, he behaves like a infant child. He hasn't got me or self. Me or self has to be death. His behavior is then childlike. So this kind of behavior is the byproduct of Knowing Thyself Absolutely.

This is all there is. Have the other interpretations told you this?

MATTHEW

I concentrate into this things:

Matthew 4.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

TR: This 'at hand' means that heaven or kingdom is always near. It lies in the 'time' NOW, the 'time' between yesterday and tomorrow.

Matthew 5.

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

TR: This means the childlike adult's attitude to life. The same goes also with the next.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

TR: Until the teachings of Jesus the main thing was the ten commands. That was the law. Now he is giving something new the commands of Love.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

TR: The main thing is not the deed but the thinking of a man. The thinking is already a deed.

Matthew 6.

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

TR: This means that the only treasure is not the money and goods, but also knowledge is a treasure, where your heart will be.

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

TR: You can look about the light thing in the Gospel of Thomas. The you know that the light is only on, if you Know Thyself.

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

TR: I think that mammon and knowledge are the same. They are the treasure and the master of your heard. You can give away mammon and money, but how do you give away knowledge. The only way to give it away is to give it away in you heart, to give it away mentally. The same goes with mammon and money.

Matthew 7.

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

TR: This is the way you behave, when you do what the commands of Love say. You do the other what you want the other do to you.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

TR: What is the gate? The gate is "Know Thyself". And the goal is LIFE.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

TR: The same thing as with the mental giving away is with the saying of mouth. You have to say it by hearth. We say very easy that we believe, but it isn't enough. You can check this in this places. (8:2, 8:10, 9:2, 9:21, 9:28. 15:30).

Matthew 8.

2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3
And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4
And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

TR: The believe of the centurion was childlike, because...

5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
6
And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
7
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
8
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
9
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
10
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
11
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12
But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

TR: The believe of the centurion was childlike, because...

14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
15
And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

TR: Wonder without the believe.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25
And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26
And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

TR: Does a believer of the Jesus' authority behave like this. Or didn't they believe?

Matthew 9.

And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

TR: Is there a childlike believe?

17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

TR: This has a great meaning, because it tells us the way Knowing Thyself happens. It is not a development where you develop the old thing with new additions. You have to get rid of everything, when you Know Yourself. Nothing is the same anymore.

18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
19
And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.
20
And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
21
For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

TR: Is there a childlike believe?

23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,
24
He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.
25
But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.
26
And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.
27
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
28
And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29
Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30
And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31
But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

TR: Is there a childlike believe?

Matthew 10.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

TR: This means the finding of LIFE in life. You loose your former life when me, self dies and at the same time you find he LIFE. This is the Game of LIFE.

Matthew 11.

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

TR: Into the word babe is hidden the real meaning, the childlike adult person. You can look what kind of a man the childlike person is. At the same time you see, what I mean, when I asked a moment ago about the believers, if they are childlike persons.

Matthew 12.

31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

TR: Not until I saw the words in the Gospel of Thomas I understood.

44 Jesus said, "Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven, either on earth or in heaven."

Matthew 13.

14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

TR: How do you hear with your hearth or how do you understand with your hearth? You feel the things or you precept them.

Matthew 14.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27
But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28
And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

TR: Here is again the behavior or the disciples. Do they believe that Jesus has the authority?

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

TR: Their mouth is believing, what about their hearths.

Matthew 15.

30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:
31
Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Matthew 16.

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14
And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
20
Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

TR: So Jesus is for the disciples. He teaches only them. And he makes the wonders only for them.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

TR: LIFE in life.

Matthew 17.

5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
6
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
7
And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
8
And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
9
And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

TR: Do the disciples believe the authority?

Matthew 18.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3
And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

TR: There it is said! The person who is adult but childlike is in the kingdom.

And to make it sure 19:14

Matthew 19.

14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

TR: The commands of Love are coming.

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

TR: Remember the mental side of giving away.

Matthew 20.

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

TR: In the Gospel of Thomas this saying is in a more correct form. He is saying that many of the first come last...

Matthew 21.

16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

TR: 'Mouth of babes' means childlike adult. Suckling means that an adult that is childlike person has no me or self.

Matthew 22.

32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
33
And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

TR: More so if they would have understood the meaning, that we find the end, kingdom in life when we are still alive.

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38
This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

TR: This is the main teaching of Jesus and the way to get into the kingdom. How can we love ourselves if we don't know who we are. The Greek word for love is here Agabe, which means Absolute Love. So you have to Know Thyself Absolutely to Love Thyself Absolutely. And all other things come automatically.

Mark

Mark 8.

27 And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?
28
And they answered, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others, One of the prophets.
29
And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
30
And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.

TR: So Jesus taught only the disciples. He had come in being for the disciples and secondly only for us.

Mark 9.

36
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
37
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

TR: Childlike adult.

Mark 10.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16
And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

TR: Once again childlike adult and the kingdom.

Mark 12.

28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

TR: And that is all.

Luke

Luke 6.

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

TR: What does it mean to Love thy neighbor?

Luke 9.

18 And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?
19
They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.
20
He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
21
And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

TR: Once again. But see that Peter lies. He knows by hearth that Jesus is the Son of God not until at the end of Luke. Let's see.

46 Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
47
And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
48
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

TR: Once again the child.

Luke 10.

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
26
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

TR: The main thing in our religion once again.

Luke 17.

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

TR: So the kingdom is in LIFE inside ourselves.

Luke 18.

17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

TR: There it is said that the child is only a metaphor of the adults mentality when he is a childlike person.

Luke 24.

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37
But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

TR: He showed himself to them. So still they don't belive that Jesus is the Son of God. And he even had to die because of them and through them because of us.

38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

TR: So they touched him. Not yet.

40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

TR: He showed the marks. Not yet.

41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42
And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43
And he took it, and did eat before them.

TR: He at.

44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

TR: And finally they believed him to be the Son of God and they at the same time understood the teachings of Jesus. So the death of Jesus was because of the disbelieve of the disciples.
